Originally it was going to be more like the
old movie series but the network was afraid that it would be too
scary for little children. Told to make it more "child-friendly,"
the studio had to come up with a new plotline... Godzilla’s
appearance in this series catered to every popular misconception
about Godzilla that has ever existed in the Western world!
