Jim Henson puppet animation starring Gobo and his friends Red, Mokey,
Boober and Wembley. Gobo is the orange, purple haired Fraggle, and
is the organiser and instigator. Red is the crazy female Fraggle
with bunches, eager for any adventure. Mokey is pink female Fraggle,
who is quiet, dreamy and sensitive. Wembley, yellow with yellow
hair, is the youngest of the group. Boober is the one with the shaggy
red hair and cap, and is extremely pessimistic and depressed. Don't
forget Travelling Matt - the adventurous old Fraggle, who left his
nephew Gobo with his maps and books. He often sends Gobo postcards
from his travels.
Then there's Sprocket, the cute dog that the Fraggles think is a
terrifying beast from Outer Space. Gobo must face Sprocket if he
is to collect his postcards from his Uncle. And the Doozers, who
work in Fraggle Rock, build anything and everything, from vegetable
protein sticks, processed in the Gorgs garden! The Fraggles unfortunatly,
love to eat their constructions. The Gorgs are 22 feet tall, and
live in a ruined castle just outside Fraggle Rock. They are the
only 3 left of their species - Pa, Ma, and Junior. Junior Gorg loves
to try and catch the Fraggles. And there is the Trash Heap - the
all knowing Oracle that lives in the woods behind the castle. The
Fraggles seek her advice when they're in trouble. She has 2 rodent
companions - Philo and Gunge.
Did you know...The
verb "to Wemble" is a useful Fraggish word meaning "to
go back and forth from one thing to another without deciding on
anything."
